Very easy to find, welcoming nice and warm pub. Easy registration. Very comfortable room, lovely breakfast. Will always stay here on our way up North.

We had a lovely stay at The George. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely room overlooking the Abbey. Excellent value for money. We would definitely recommend!

Ok for the price.bed was clean and comfortable apart from quilt cover wasnt soft.rustled every time i turned over.quiet room.no noise from outside,just corridor noise and bed moved when people walked by outside the room.shower was broken.stuck on hot,and could not change temperature.window frames had a lot of black mould,and hadnt even been attempted to remove for a long time.breakfast was decent but no orange juice,and no tomato on breaking on first morning.also heard people asking for yoghurt on that morning but they were told there was none left.
